Pour Over Brewing Guide
Use this guide to brew coffee using the pour over method. There is a wide range of equipment you can use where the below instructions can be followed. We like to use Hario V60 glass drippers with a paper cone filter. Alternatives that we like include the Kalita Wave series which uses a dripper with a flat bottom to help with extraction.
Grind 25 grams (approx. 4 tbsp) of coffee on a fine to medium setting. (No. 2 setting on most adjustable grinders).
Boil water 205-210°F (best if filtered).
Wet filter to remove any paper taste and heat receptacle.
Bloom coffee by pouring just enough water (approx. 50g) to completely wet grind and let sit for 30-45 seconds.
Pour water in a continuous slow circular motion ensuring you are wetting all grinds evenly. It should take 2 mins and 350 grams of water to complete the pour for one 12oz cup.
Serve once all dripping has ceased and enjoy!
